The aesthetic revolution that Virus caused in the early eighties remains to be fully recognized. Federico Moura's audacity leading the Argentine band exceeded the limits of pop and is still a source of discovery that deserves revisiting. Pagan Images, the most complete documentary made so far about the “Honeymoon in the Hand” group, explores that tension and rejection in times of dictatorship (a scourge that the Moura family paid for with the disappearance of Federico's older brother). Virus changed national music, and it is good to recognize them in that aspect in order to have an identity.
