In-edit: A band called Death

Stranger and they explode: a band of young black men with a funereal name that played protopunk in Detroit in the seventies, when everything around them was Motown soul. In the words of Henry Rollins, his story "in itself seems like a movie trailer" (Alice Cooper, Jello Biafra and Elijah Wood, among others, also speak in this documentary).  Death's music was rediscovered in 2008 thanks to the release of their first album (thirty-five years late). This is how Jack White describes them: "Ahead of punk, ahead of their time."
