Gabriela, poetry and fado

The concert is a form of connection to Gabriela Mistral's years as Consul of Chile in Lisbon, where she rediscovers her inspiration and writes the collection of poems Tala, in addition to the nostalgia present in the poet's work and in Fado. Also included is a tribute to the great Amália Rodrígues, a review of the classics and new trends of composers of this genre and guitars (instrumentals).

Repertoire: First part includes a set of classic fados popularized by the great Amália Rodrígues, poems set to music by Fernando Pessoa and Florbela Espanca, and guitars. In the second half, poems set to music will be premiered, by Jorge Prado, by Gabriela Mistral in the style of fado, sung in Spanish and Portuguese as well. The brand new poems are: Country of absence, Flower of the air, Second sonnet of death, Goodbye, Absence, As long as you sleep, Things, Desolation, Slow rain and We were all going to be queens.
