The initiative is part of the celebration of the 65 years of the Chilean Chamber of Construction and will feature the participation of more than 300 musicians belonging to three symphony orchestras and a large choir.
Five hundred square meters of LED technology will illuminate GAM in the middle of Alameda and will be the stage for “Camera to the Whole Orchestra”, a concert that will bring together the best music next Saturday, November 5 from 7:30 p.m.
The concert will include the presentation of the USACH Orchestra and Choir, which will perform three movements of Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68 “Pastoral”, by Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the most sentimental works of the German composer.
Directed by maestro Nicolás Rauss, the ensemble will also perform renowned pieces by the Viennese Johann Strauss, such as the Gypsy Baron Overture, the Polka “On the Hunt” and the choral versions of the Emperor Waltz and the waltz The Beautiful Blue Danube.
For their part, the orchestras National Youth Symphony and Metropolitan Student Symphony will meet to delight attendees with a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Violeta Parra.
Both orchestras, conducted by Pablo Carrasco, will begin the celebration with the Luz de Violeta Suite, a work specially arranged by tuba player Jeff Parker based on compositions by the folklorist.
All the FOJI musicians will continue, with 120 performers on stage for the work Egmont, incidental music Op 84 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The soprano Claudia Pereira and Darwin Leroy will participate as narrator.
They will end under the baton of maestro Juan Pablo Izquierdo, with two movements of the great Symphony No. 1 D major “Titan” by Gustav Mahler, one of the most technically complex works ever written.
The GAM façade will have a total of 27 vertical totems with scenographic and mapping effects, developed by Madis, in addition to four giant screens that will transmit the details of the concert. It will be a total of 500 m2 of LED technology that will stimulate the audience with special effects.
