Fran Ri makes his way into this new stage as a soloist debuting through his first EP titled “Ri-tmo”. An energetic work that could be defined as “high cadence flow”. This creation is made up of four songs that are committed to a fresh sound and mainly traced by the Afropop genre with shades of Trap, R&B and Neo Soul.
The album also features notable collaborations such as Masquemusica and Nekki. This phonographic record made up of 6 tracks promises to be a fresh and vibrant musical journey, mainly influenced by the Afropop movement.
"During the process of this album I have been influenced by references such as Lous and the Yakuza, Mayra Andrade, Greentea Peng, Melanie De Biasio, Mayra Kali Uchis, ILe, Rosalía, Ibeyi, Burna Boy, Juls, CKay, among others. The compositions on this album offer a glimpse into my inner world through sincere and direct lyrics," says Fran.
Themes such as self-exploration, personal growth, the search for identity, love, heartbreak, loneliness and the emotional experiences of life are part of the lyrics of Fran Ri, who will perform at GAM with a band made up of prominent musicians and collaborators from the local scene.
"We will take a tour of the music from my new solo album but also revisiting the most iconic repertoire of my old project Madam & Samurai Groove along with the interpretation of other songs in which I have participated as a collaborator during the last year," he adds.
