The spirit of the cueca chora, Chile and Latin America comes to GAM.
The spirit of the cueca chora, Chile and Latin America comes from the hand of the actor Daniel Muñoz and the band Los Marujos, a group that in recent years has developed a repertoire that takes all the mischief and musicality of the popular tradition.
With two albums to date, this band has opted for a renewed language of the cueca that, without deviating from the essence of the musical genre, fuses classic chords with unconventional instruments such as the double bass and the violin.
A powerful and joyful journey through the sounds of national identity, which since its founding in 2012, has been nourishing its lyrics from the various stories collected during its presentations at festivals and customs parties throughout the country, experiences that have inspired songs such as Camarones, Vamos al chancho de Talca, Yo conno el barrio Franklin, among other compositions that can be heard in the show that will be part of Tocatas Mil 2018.
Musicians Daniel Muñoz, Horacio Hernández, Francisco García, Juan Ignacio Hernández, Sebastián Moya, Sergio Marcos, Efrén Viera | Musical Director Rodrigo Salgado | Producer Manager Rodrigo Agüero | Technical Chief Hernán López
