Chilean and Spanish musicians perform four concerts with contemporary classics and national and international premieres.

 

 

The UC Contemporary Ensemble opens the festival at GAM on Tuesday, November 14. The program includes contemporary Chilean works and composers from the last century, such as Toru Takemitsu (Japan). And the premiere of the Concert for piano and orchestra (ensemble version), by Aliocha Solovera.

Colombina Parra, Isidora Edwards, Tomás Preuss and Cristián Parker perform Four6, by John Cage, on Wednesday the 15th. That day also the Contemporary Music Workshop premieres national compositions.

Mantra, by Karlheinz Stockhausen, is performed on Thursday the 16th by the Spanish duo Alter Face, formed by pianists Albert Díaz and Tomeu Moll, along with Rodrigo Cádiz on electronics.

The closing of the festival is performed by the saxophone quartet Sigma Project (Spain), with music from the 21st century that they are premiering in Chile. Before, at 6 p.m., guitarist Diego Castro gives a concert with works for electric guitar.
