“The sound does not coincide with the image” is the second album by the Chilean poet and singer-songwriter Marcela Parra, after her debut with Astronautas en la playa (2015).
A sound work that explores different perspectives of how people relate to sound (as a physical, sensory and social phenomenon), the changes they experience at different moments in the development of life and its influence on the way we hear the world.
Analog and digital sounds are mixed with everyday objects and female voices from different generations to give the public a launch concert in which each song is an experience and a way to re-encounter the places they inhabit.
