GAM does not have mandatory lines for its programming. The themes and artistic styles for this application are free and must respond to the creative interests of the applicants. However, special attention will be paid to those projects that are related to the following axes:

  • Heritage memory and utopias: GAM continues with this curatorial axis in order to reflect on the identity and value it occupies in the cultural field. Thus enhancing the historical and symbolic value of the country and the performing arts. Work areas are suggested such as: UNCTAD III, the 30 years of the NO plebiscite, great references of Chilean theater and, for 2018 especially, the 50 years of the death of Pablo de Rokha.
  • Second stage: GAM, a single space: In 2018, the new room that GAM adds to its current infrastructure for 1,800 people will be in operation, completing the second stage of construction of the Cultural Center. The incentive to celebrate is enhanced and, in this context, we will refer to GAM as a cultural, social and citizen space. The value and relevance that the Cultural Center exerts in today's creative Chile is enhanced and proposals are expected that show how culture manages to influence and express its opinion on social issues (citizen causes).
