A live presentation of contemporary Rapa Nui music by the Amahiro group that provides an in-depth understanding of the current reality of this culture.
Contemporary Rapa Nui music is the focus of this live performance by the Amahiro group. A musical route that allows us to learn more deeply about the current reality of the Rapa Nui culture through a non-folklorized vision. The group will present the songs from their album Tapu (Consecration) playing electric guitars, bass, drums, percussion and voices, fusing the traditional music of the island with rock, folk and blues influences.
The native language and lyrics of Amahiro's songs rescue the heritage contained in Rapa Nui orality, while offering an intimate vision of their daily lives and history, the expression of their identity and their participation in the globalized world. Far from the tourist view that we usually have of the island, this performance offers a journey towards the reality and current feeling of an ancient people that coexists, develops and manifests itself in the present with the whole world.
