Altertango

They are described by the Argentine press as the “reference of alternative tango” of the trans-Andean scene. With 17 years of experience, Altertango comes to Tocatas Mil to present part of their repertoire and their latest work, Sie7e (2018), a sample of the band's instrumental stage and “deliberate synthesis,” they explain, “not only of their career, but of the different facets they have built over time.

Their sound, the result of a constant need to search and delve deeper into the tango genre and the multiple possibilities it offers, allows them to give concerts full of power and creativity. Its connection with other urban music and, above all, its interpretative and compositional freedom, are the characteristics of this original group from Mendoza that pays tribute to Argentine popular music while escaping, in turn, all labels.
