Concert by Alexandros Tefarikis, an outstanding Chilean guitarist with more than 20 years of experience.
At the concert, Tefarikis will present traditional Greek music, playing the bouzouki, a stringed instrument and a pillar of modern Greek music. Along with traditional compositions that connect him with his Hellenic roots, the musician will also pay tribute to Violeta Parra.
The concert is part of his most recent musical staging with the Tefarikis Band World Music “The Five Elements”. Their proposal combines music, dance, costumes and audiovisuals, focused on the mythology of Ancient Greece and the incredible culture and traditions of their ancestors, work that will be captured in their next album “Zeus”.
Tefarikis incorporates into his music different styles focused on the fusion of acoustic and electric music with Mediterranean roots, creating different avant-garde music projects and groups. With the group Ergo Sum, he dedicated himself to Neo Progressive rock, releasing 3 albums: Encuentros (2004), Canto en guitar (2006) and Cuerdas mediterráneas (2008); With Symbyo6 he released the album GEOS8 in 2006 with a melodic metal alloy; and with Tefarikis Greak Band, he dedicated himself to performing traditional Greek music with Bouzuki. In 2009 he reached the final of the international Guitar Idol competition, held in London, and released the album Opus 8.
