Writing workshop: Pieces of meat

In this workshop, its twelve members will be able to create narrative texts from their experiences, imagine from memory, launch their desire into the imaginary and create literature from applications and bedrooms. Together, they will try to answer questions such as what it means to be gay today, what our desires are and what the world imposed on us, and finally, what is what we call gay literature.

Each session will have a particular topic, and from there, space will be opened for dialogue. Among the topics are promiscuity, beauty standards, the geography of cruising, the possibility of tenderness, the nooks and crannies of the internet, violence, porn, sexual roles and categories, memory, illness and new imaginaries.

The sessions will also include readings, writing exercises and a personal project.

According to its organizers, "in the face of the narratives that the world has created, in the face of stereotypes and stigmas, in the face of sugarcoated portraits and martyrs, it is important that we construct our own stories. Homosexual men find it difficult to adjust to the conceptions that the world has about sexuality and love. The real experience takes place between objectification and fantasy, between the difficulty of establishing relationships and the possibility of creating other links."

The workshop consists of 17 sessions and includes the printing and launch of a final publication.
