Theater translation residency

Actress graduated from the Theater School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He studied a Master's degree in Performance at Goldsmiths University, and a PhD at King's College London. As a director she has collaborated with prominent festivals, theaters, and institutions such as Festival Stgo a Mil, London International Festival of Theater (LIFT), The Royal Court Theatre, SPILL Festival, Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Southwark Playhouse (UK), Omnibus Theater (UK), and British Council Chile, among others. As a translator, she is a founding member of the Out of the Wings collective, based in London, which specializes in the translation into English and promotion in the United Kingdom of playwriting from the Spanish-speaking world. He has translated works by authors such as Caryl Churchill and Chris Thorpe into Spanish for the Contemporary European Playwriting Exhibitions in Chile, and into English national playwrights such as Pablo Manzi and Manuela Infante. He is currently editing the anthology of Chilean playwriting in English translation Contemporary Plays from Chile (Bloomsbury publishing house), which will feature translations of works by national playwrights Nona Fernández, Guillermo Calderón, Pablo Manzi, Carla Zúñiga, Leyla Selman and Andrés Kalawski. She currently works as a senior lecturer in Latin American cultural studies at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
