Two publications that bring together new voices from Chilean dramaturgy and explore ways of inhabiting, thinking and relating to territories from stage creation.
Poéticas del Territorio I and II are the result of the playwriting competition promoted by the Escenas en Contextos Foundation in collaboration with the Mutis Festival of Barcelona. This initiative seeks to promote theatrical writings that question and expand the epistemic, geographical and geopolitical limits that shape our territories.
Both volumes bring together Chilean dramas selected during two years of the contest, highlighting the work of eight authors from different regions of the country. The works invite us to imagine new forms of relationships between people, nature and the environments we inhabit, providing diverse perspectives on the contemporary challenges of the territory.
These publications constitute a valuable space for the circulation of new national dramaturgies, strengthening scenic creation and dialogue between art, community and territory.
