International Theater Festival a Mil 2026

The Teatro a Mil International Festival will take place between January 3 and 25 and will bring together 89 indoor and street shows from 16 countries in Europe, Asia and America, with unmissable premieres, a special focus on Brazil, international guests and a strong emphasis on multidisciplinarity.
The 33rd version of the contest, presented by Fundación Teatro a Mil y Escondida | BHP encompasses a wide variety of disciplines: contemporary and physical theatre, parade, circus, dance, music, performance, opera, puppet theater and traditional Korean pansori theatre. This year, the focus will be on new scenic languages and their intersection with technology, as well as on proposals that dialogue with memory and identity, especially appealing to younger audiences.
The Teatro a Mil International Festival will have as its motto “YES IT MATTERS”, reaffirming that culture and the performing arts play a crucial role in the construction of a democratic, safe and dignified society.
