A scenic journey where three swamp crows originating from Laguna Torca navigate oral tradition stories from the Maule Region. Life, death, power, passion, good and evil. Listen and look... the crows come to tell what is necessary, so as not to forget.

Three swamp crows have the mission of “telling so as not to forget”, of navigating the rivers of the region to relate and share events that reflect fundamental human themes. El Melado, The Pact and The Tale of the Lorito are the three stories that the crows will tell and that will cover topics such as social injustice, abuse of power, death, greed, individualism and envy.

Swamp Crows was born from the interest and need to value the history and national heritage that reside in oral tradition stories. "This impulse and interest is transformed into research, interviewing cultists from the Maule Region, and compiling bibliography containing oral tradition stories. From the need to contribute to the conservation and dissemination of our heritage in the face of the voracious advance of time and technology," says Andrés Saavedra, director.

More than 40 stories from oral tradition were investigated to arrive at the three stories that are part of the work. Stories that float between generations, transmitted by word of mouth, and that invite us to remember who we were, who we are and who we could become.

On stage, the audience will see a transformable set, masks that become fantastic beings, dolls, shadow theater, live music, actors who play multiple characters. "There is a lot of comedy that will make you laugh, you will see historical drama, you will see the magic of a past encapsulated in the universe of oral tradition, and you will see the present reflected in what makes us what constitutes us as Chileans today," Saavedra points out.

The Cuervos de Marsh company (former Sopaipilla Teatro) was born in 2021, founded under the premise of creating a popular theater. The company has toured Chile, France, Spain, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay. Circo Danger (2015), Swamp Crows (2022), La Puerta del Maule (2024), Gabriela, the girl who dreamed of the stars (2024), Awakening of the Earth (2024), and The Movement of the Hummingbird (2025) have been present in various theaters and national and international festivals.
