Sergei Prokofiev's classic comes in a version with dolls and masks, which modifies the original to bring it to the language of contemporary and familiar dance. With direction and choreography by Carolina Bravo.
Prokofiev released Peter and the Wolf in 1936 and it did not do well. Then he failed to captivate the Moscow public with his musical story for children, with narration and orchestra, where each character had their own instrument and theme. But soon this work began to stand out. Only 10 years later Walt Disney produced an animated version.
Carolina Bravo decided to bring this composition to the language of contemporary dance. This is how Pedrito and the Wolf, this is our story was born, which takes Prokofiev's original piece, although partially modifying its structure. Its staging includes theatrical elements such as different voices in the narration, masks and the manipulation of objects by the 14 performers.
