A work by the Ñeque Teatral company about the origin of the universe and the way in which our species has related to it, from worldview and science.
"For every 200 atoms in your body, 126 are hydrogen and were created in the Big Bang, that is, more than half of your body is 13.8 billion years old. We are matter in transit, atoms that have passed through many places, that were part of meteorites, stars, nebulae, fleas, a gray hair of Mozart. This reflection led us to the reason for our work: Are we the universe wondering about itself?" The phrase is from the Ñeque Teatral company, creators of a work that explores the way in which man has related to the sky.
With a camera that shows from an atom to a galaxy, musical instruments, bubbles, lamps, tubes and objects, the Ñeque Teatral company exposes how our species has been related to the universe, from points shared by cultures such as the Mapuche, Mayan, Aztec, Egyptian, Greek and Mesopotamian.
The company based in Caburga has mounted the work in six locations in Araucanía and in GAM, in a short season in June. The assembly has the support of CONICYT and the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics.
