The abode

"The house in man's life supplants contingencies, multiplies its advice of continuity. Without it, man would be a dispersed being. It sustains him through the storms of heaven and life. It is body and soul. It is the first Home of the human being before being thrown into the world," writes the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard in The Poetics of Space. From this text, the Chilean dancer and choreographer Marcela Ortiz de Zárate presents La Morada.

Led by the OTUX Contemporary Dance Company, the proposal is the result of a creative work that brings together musicians, dancers and the gaze of the Chilean plastic artist Zinnia Ramírez, whose work and experience were integrated into the process of creating this piece, and are characterized by fusing elements from different disciplines.

Founded in New York in 1987, this group has performed in Chile and abroad, standing out for developing collaborative projects that seek, both from the autobiographical and the social, to explore the eternal question of identity.
