The Balance Company premieres at GAM this work that combines dance, acrobatics and music on a large structure formed by two mobile pyramids.

The average height of an adult female giraffe does not reach 5 meters, so if one of them came to see Sacred Movement, perhaps for the first time she would have to look up to see the acrobats.

The work takes place on a large structure formed by two pyramids on wheels joined by a 5-meter long beam. And each pyramid reaches 5 meters high. On this basis seven members of the Balance Company perform acrobatics linked through dance.

"It is a work of movement, we incorporate contemporary dance, ground acrobatics and aerial techniques of the circus. The structure is the support of the entire work, which constantly proposes different images in movements," says Pablo Garrido, director of the work.

With twelve years of experience, the Balance Company has been presented in countries such as South Korea, Venezuela and Brazil. This is the first work they have created completely from improvisation, guided by corporal and spatial experimentation.

The work includes live music and "presents different atmospheres, but the rhythm is ascending. We start from the static to the development of sequences with both pyramids rotating at high speed," says the director.
