The call process for the 2018 programming was opened in different modalities and deadlines from May 8 through the GAM website.
A total of 162 projects were received. The number of projects pre-selected through the call process for our 2018 programming is detailed below. The projects will be contacted individually to verify some aspects that will determine their conditions and exhibition formats. The projects will be entered into our final programming, once there is mutual agreement on the offer that GAM can generate for the realization of each of the projects based on: technical and financial feasibility and coincidence of seasonal dates. GAM reserves the right to propose spaces different from those selected in the application, which must be approved by the applicants in order to enter the final programmatic selection.
For all these projects in pre-selection, GAM may generate a space commitment letter to be presented to Fondart or other relevant entities in the search for financing.

One of the novelties of this new process consisted of promoting the exchange of artistic projects from the different regions by providing financing to support the costs of transporting the projects. Additionally, for the first time in GAM, the call is open for popular music projects both in their use as a recording studio and in the development of concerts in a hall.
GAM selects projects internally according to established programming criteria and evaluating technical feasibility and programmatic relevance of the proposals. The selection consisted of an internal evaluation stage and external support committees were established for the disciplines that had the greatest number of nominated projects.
