Migrant

There are more than 230 million migrants according to the UN. The figure corresponds to the conventional definition: people who have left one country to live in another. Migrante expands the concept to bodies that move between different areas and focuses on the changes that this generates. Thus, from contemporary dance, the work also addresses migration as a political, sexual, poetic and age-related transition.

Sebastián de la Cuesta, Rodrigo Leal and Cristián Reyes are the creators, directors and designers of the work. An initial investigation on the topic was presented with the same name last year at the Sala Arrau Choreographic Meeting. Now the premiere calls for a completely different cast, with Marcos Matus, Millaray Lobos, Raúl López and Dani Vega.
