Flight practices

Seeking to answer this question, the Chilean dancer and choreographer Pablo Zamorano presents Practices of Flight (or conversations about love), a proposal that takes a tour of different passages in the history of independent dance in Chile, reviewing the contributions of great artists who laid the foundations for the work that is done today.

Addressing dance as a movement that lives in the word, in the gesture and in the memory of the bodies, autobiographical elements, documents and experiences allow us to build this story about dance. Considering the group Trío 65 as its point of origin, the work is developed with reference to important choreographers and groups that marked the Chilean scene such as Carmen Beuchat, Patricio Bunster, Colectivo de Arte la Vitrina and Centro de Danza Espiral, among others.

Gathered especially to give life to this show, Practices of Flight is the result of a collaborative research work that explores the relationship between the collective and the individual, between academic dances and the subjectivity with which each body interprets them.
