Dancers and guests from Tanztheater Wuppertal - Pina Bausch's legendary company - present three works and give lectures and a workshop. They are all members of the company of the German choreographer Pina Bausch. They all appeared in the film Pina, by Wim Wenders. Now Daphnis Kokkinos, Pablo Arán and Jorge Puerta come to GAM to present works, give lectures and give a workshop.
17 centimeters from the floor is the work of the second cycle (July 28 and 29). Created by Jorge Puerta and performed by Pablo Arán, the piece explores pain, metamorphosis and the need to continue. The duo will also hold a dance conference with a conversation on July 30. The idea will be to generate a meeting between the public and dancers based on the works presented in this second cycle and reflect on their artistic experiences dancing with Pina and the desire that today leads them to open new paths, continuing their own creative work.
