The Culture Council, through its Dance Area, in collaboration with the Gabriela Mistral Center, GAM, invites performing artists and people linked to the art of movement to participate in the Training Program, which will take place between the months of April and December 2015 and includes classes from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at GAM, except for those weeks that have holidays.
The sessions will be focused on the practice of contemporary and classical dance at a professional level, providing movement, exploration and body research material. Each week will be guided by a different artist and/or teacher and the sessions will not necessarily have a seminar-like progression, but rather will be independent and framed within the particular proposal of each guide. Therefore, those attending classes will be able to participate flexibly and/or continuously depending on their interests and possibilities.
This year the program will be developed in conjunction with the “Continuous Training for Dancers of Concepción”, led by the Scenic Movement Collective. During the year, two teachers from this city will participate in the Training Program at GAM and in turn, two teachers from Santiago will travel to teach classes at the Training Program in Concepción.”
The classes will cost $1,000 and tickets will be on sale at the GAM information desk, building B, floor 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
