The new edition of the National Choreographic Meetings takes place at GAM with the opening of the process by the performers Daniella Santibáñez and Paula Sacur. The activity will also have samples open and free to the public in Biobío, Santiago and Valparaíso.
The creations of Juanita Saavedra, Pablo Zamorano, Victoria Jara, Daniella Santibáñez and Paula Sacur will be presented for free in different regions of the country, completing a process that began in the artistic residencies developed for three months at the Valparaíso Cultural Park, Teatro del Biobío and GAM.
The Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, through the Executive Secretariat of Performing Arts, presents the new edition of the National Choreographic Meetings, a program that celebrates 10 versions promoting the creation and development of contemporary dance in Chile.
Financed through the National Fund for the Promotion and Development of the Performing Arts, this new version of the program included five projects that participated in a program of activities focused on research, which also had the artistic accompaniment of choreographers Daniela Marini, Carolina Bravo and Elías Cohen, all prominent exponents of national dance.
The program will come to GAM with Daniella Santibáñez and "Revelar", from the Essays on Light project (Nov 20) and with Paula Sacur and her work "Fenómenx humanx" (Nov 22). Along with this, there will be other mediation and exchange activities with the public and the participating choreographers.
In addition, Juanita Saavedra will perform with "Tocarbottom: Falls and Evanescence" at Balmaceda Arte Joven in Concepción, Pablo Zamorano with "Topos (In the body there is a place)" at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Santiago and Victoria Jara with "Estallido Choreográfico" at the Cultural Park of Valparaíso.
