For the third consecutive year, Balmaceda Arte Joven comes to GAM to celebrate the University Dance Meeting. In addition to showing the work of contemporary dance schools in the region, there will be four gala performances with works by Chilean choreographers. The closing is by Andrés Cárdenas, with Lo supervisual, performed by the Balmaceda Arte Joven Dance Company.
The Meeting gives young dancers the opportunity to present their work in important cultural centers. The activity seeks to open a space for exhibition, meeting and reflection on dance. The universities participating in this version are: ARCIS, Espiral, Universidad de Las Américas, Bolivariana, Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza, and Universidad de Chile.
On Friday the 26th the free forum will be held “Art and Dance in educational reform and its political projection”, which will be moderated by Lorena Hurtado, director of the Dance School of Universidad Arcis and will be attended by Sandra Moscatelli, coordinator of artistic education MINEDUC, Francisca Las Heras coordinator of the CNCA dance area and Teresa Alcaino, representative of the Sinattad Dance Union.
