Apology of desire

"The body appears as an object of desire and as 'private property', with its own looks, misplacements, strangeness. Erotic desire appears and also the idea of bodies that need to rediscover themselves. The longing for presence and the discovery that it is necessary," explains the dancer and actress Macarena Pastor, director of the work, who had previously been in GAM as part of the casts of productions such as The Dancer and The Body That stain.

Karen Carreño, Ricardo Curaqueo, Alejandra Fuentes and Álvaro Salinas combine each one's particular movement on stage, in a work that does not seek to standardize, but rather to build a heterogeneous language. The theatricality, although subtle, appears in the importance of closeness and glances. And virtuality is worked with cameras on stage, to sometimes make body projections in real time.
