"What are they laughing at? How long until it ends? What happens if I don't understand anything?", a voice-over asks at one point in the play And they escaped the weight of darkness, by the Penquista company Escénica en Movimiento. Complete video montage for a limited time.

This contemporary dance work, directed by Thomas Bentin, investigates the human impulse to seek happiness and a meaning in life in the midst of a hostile system. The proposal is playful and moves with agility through different moments, with different rhythms, movements and sounds so varied that they range from Japan and Iceland to Cuba and the United States. These moments present different ways of living and finding each other in the bodies of the four performers.

With this work the company from the Centro Cultural Escénica en Movimiento returns to GAM, where in 2019 they were with the season of this same work and in 2017 they presented their work Cuerpo fronterizo.
