The Foundation of Youth and Children's Orchestras (FOJI), closes the Artistic Education Week in GAM, with presentations by the Metropolitan Student Symphony Orchestra, directed by Jaime Cofré; and the Student Choir and Boys and Girls Choir, both directed by Cecilia Barrientos.

The heart of the concert will be performed by the Metropolitan Student Symphony Orchestra (OSEM). With more than 20 years of history, this group of 70 young musicians will be directed by maestro Jaime Cofré, renowned cornist and composer, whose international training in Switzerland and Germany guarantees a performance of the highest technical rigor.

The vocal power will come from the hand of two groups of excellence: the FOJI Student Choir, made up of 40 young musicians with experience in great milestones, such as the premiere in Chile of Mahler's Eighth Symphony; and the FOJI Boys and Girls Choir, with 28 children's voices that stand out for their versatility and comprehensive training under the support of the Ibáñez Atkinson Foundation.

Both choral groups will be under the baton of Cecilia Barrientos, an outstanding soprano and choral director with a vast career in contemporary and symphonic-choral music, ensuring impeccable artistic cohesion between the voices and the orchestra.

"Requiem" is not just a concert; It is a sample of the future of classical music in Chile, where the energy of the new generations comes together to give life to one of the most solemn and beautiful musical forms in the universal repertoire. The repertoire will include the pieces Adaggio for strings, by Samuel Barber; Begräbnisgesang, Op. 13, by J. Brahms, and Requiem in D minor, op 48, by G. Fauré.
