Shakespeare Workshop 400 years

The Reading Workshop will allow attendees to get closer to this fascinating character, his texts, his time, mystery and biography, along with a reflection on the permanence of his artistic work in the contemporary world. Aimed at high school and university students and the general public.

Workshop program
- Group reading in Spanish and English (to experience “the Shakespeare sound”).
- Review of a fundamental part of the great work English playwright: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Richard III, King Lear, Titus Andronicus; The Taming of the Shrew.
- Comments on his life, historical circumstances, debates about his identity, origins of his work, and Shakespeare's vision of politics, power, love, humor, language; the magic.

About Mili Rodríguez Villouta
Journalist and writer. Former editor of the culture area of ​​the Ecuadorian newspaper Hoy, journalist for the defunct magazine Apsi. He has published the novels Amanace que no es poco (Editorial Sudamericana), La Teoría de la Superficie and Las Farewells Perfectas (both from Editorial Cuarto Proprio); and journalistic books such as You will never see me as you saw me (Editorial Ornitorrinco) and Everyone loved me and no one paid my electricity (Editorial Planeta). He has collaborated in various national media such as La Nación, the magazines El Sábado and La Noche, and has held literary workshops at Balmaceda Arte Joven, at the Bustamante Literary Café in Providencia and at the Taller Siglo XX Yolanda Hurtado cultural space, Bellavista.
