The La Comuna collective makes this invitation to share memories, archives and experiences around HIV/AIDS in a safe space, regarding the work "Rock Hudson's Kiss". Using objects, memories and personal archives, autofiction writing and creation as collective resistance to oblivion will be explored.
For three hours, the workshop will work with theatrical games and writing exercises to create a personal monologue. Then, that work will be transformed into a handmade publication (fanzine) designed with collage techniques, and we will close with a dramatized reading/performance.
The La Comuna collective proposes this workshop as a place to share, activate memory and transform our HIV-positive experiences into artistic materials. This activity is part of our staging “El Beso de Rock Hudson”, seropositive testimonies and archives, premiere June 4 at GAM, project financed by the National Fund for the Promotion and Development of the Performing Arts, call 2025.
