Within the framework of Heritage Day, GAM re-releases a poetic and participatory device to record memories and memories that will be recorded in a symbolic sky.
Do you dare to remember together? To inaugurate a new constellation? To give us a souvenir?
Voyager, the call of memory is an intimate, sensory and deeply moving experience that invites us to travel through the personal universe of memories. Created by the writer and playwright Nona Fernández, together with the sound artist Juan José Acuña, this work transforms the interior of a dark room into a symbolic heaven where individual memories intertwine to form a collective galaxy.
Guided by the voice-over of Nona Fernández, participants are invited to evoke and record a memory on old telephones arranged in the space. Then, they jointly name the constellation of memories they have created and listen to their voices merge into a chorus.
Voyager is a poetic and participatory device that turns memory into a luminous act of community. A living archive not to forget.
