Tribute to the Indigenous and Intercultural Book

Since its creation in 2018, this event has established itself in the Metropolitan Region as a space for dialogue and reflection on the narratives and contribution to the literature of indigenous peoples.

For the first time, the conference will be held at the GAM with a solid program that includes conversation tables on topics such as indigenous female narrative, dissident literature, and the impact of intercultural books in Chile; in addition to activities designed especially for boys, girls and young people, such as storytelling, plays and musical presentations.

The Indigenous Book Fair will be located in Plaza Central, with the participation of publishers from Valparaíso, Rapa Nui, Valdivia, Temuco, Osorno, Concepción and Santiago, who will offer in their catalogs texts by indigenous authors with a perspective of cultural integration.

The VII day of Tribute to the Indigenous and Intercultural Book is organized by the Reading Plan of the Seremi of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of the Metropolitan Region in collaboration with the Metropolitan Regional Section of the Subdirectorate of Native Peoples of the National Cultural Heritage Service (SUBPO) and the support of the Silva Henríquez Catholic University
