In his enthusiastic and prolific attitude, Torres Leiva proposed that we decorate his spotlight with a new and unpublished film for the festival. Of course, we accepted, and these days, in these hours, he is putting the final stitches on a work that has a similar spirit to The Sleepers, the notable photographic project by the French artist Sophie Calle.
From the fragment that we were able to see, the film shows people sleeping while other people are heard in voiceover telling a dream. A special dream that marked something in their lives, either because it was premonitory or prophetic, because it took them to a lost or forgotten place from their childhood or because it confronted them with a fear that they believed to be insurmountable. The Dreamers is (or will be, or wants to be) a film about people who daydream.
