The night of the theaters

At a time when it is commemorating one year of its formation, the Theater Network announces the holding of a new version of the Night of the Theaters next Thursday, October 30

During that day, a total of 21 plays will be programmed in 16 spaces that make up the union association with a general ticket value of $2,000 and a manifesto will be disseminated that highlights the work that the entity has been carrying out in the preparation of a state subsidy proposal for theaters (base proposal delivery). 

The performances will take place in the Antonio Varas room (Chilean National Theater), El Arbol theater, La Comedia room, Espacio CEAT, Facetas theater, Finis Terrae theater, Centro GAM, Lastarria 90 Duoc UC, Matucana 100, Centro Mori, La Olla theater, Pleimovil room, Teatro del Puente, Sidarte Theater, Taller Siglo XX and Teatro UC, to which La Memoria theater will be added with a special activity.

One year of management
The Network of Rooms was established as a trade association in October 2013 and currently also includes Teatro Camilo Henríquez, Espacio Casa Rodante, Teatro Nescafé de las Artes, Teatro La Palabra, Teatro La Vitrina and recently Teatro Cinema and Teatro Camino.

The Network of Theaters finds references in similar groups that have emerged in cities with a high offer of performing arts - such as New York, London, Buenos Aires and Madrid -, where the spaces have associated to promote circuits, generate adequate conditions for strengthening the activity and energize the offer.

Altogether, the associates currently have close to 10,000 seats, which makes the Network the main performing arts platform with a high potential to materialize associative initiatives.

The current board of directors of the Network is chaired by Teatro del Puente and is made up of Teatro Mori, Teatro UC, CEAT space and Centro Gabriela Mistral, GAM.
