Leo San Juan, Teodora and Alebrije arrive in Guanajuato to try to stop the mummies that have inexplicably awakened and to recover their friend Xóchitl. With the help of Luis, a friend they meet in the city, Leo will discover the terrible secret of the wealthy Rosseau, while the rest of the team realizes that they have fallen into a terrible trap from which they must try to escape.
“The Legend of the Guanajuato Mummies” is the sequel to the animated film “The Legend of La Llorona” (2011). Both this feature film and its predecessor are full of mythologies and popular legends of Mexico.
