Fourteen wooden parabolic domes installed in Plaza Central will allow you to transport yourself in time and space. From a distance, you will hear a murmur. But from certain specific points you will hear sounds recorded at other times and places in GAM and its surroundings. The sounds, for example, could transport one of the marches that pass through the Alameda and that resonate in the building. This rotating sound bank will be accompanied by a map explaining where and how they were obtained. It is also expected to carry out activities with guest artists, such as the poet Martin Gubbins, who link their work with the domes.
#Parlante is a project created between academics and students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Finis Terrae University. Its creators are Juan Pablo Corvalán, Nicole L'Huillier, Rodrigo Santa María, Gabriel Donoso and Magdalena Sierra. A reduced version of the project was presented in April at the Chilean Architecture Biennial.
