A conversation to reflect on negative stereotypes around old age and structural violence in relation to older people.

Ana Paula Vieira, founder and director of Fundación Míranos, will lead this conversation, where together with the participants they will delve into the moments or events in which the group has felt discriminated against due to their age.

Likewise, it will provide tools to care for mental health and prevent suicidal behavior.

Psychologist from the Santa Úrsula University, Brazil, with a degree revalidated in Chile. PhD student in Psychogerontology (Universitat de València, Spain). Master in Aging and Quality of Life awarded by the University of Chile. Master in Prevention, Intervention and Postvention of Suicidal Behavior (Pablo de Olavide University, Spain). Gatekeepers instructor (agents of change in suicide prevention) at the QPR Institute (Washington). Diploma in Educational and Social Psychogerontology and in Prevention and Addressing Elder Abuse, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In addition, he has specialized studies in Psychogeriatrics and Medical/Psychosomatic Psychology, carried out in Brazil. In mid-2008, he settled in Santiago de Chile, continuing his studies in gerontological topics. Since 2018, he has chaired the Míranos Foundation, an organization that focuses on suicide prevention in older people. She has participated as a speaker in Suicidology and Gerontology Congresses. He is a member of the Technical Board of Mental Health of the Elderly (Minsal and SENAMA). She is one of the authors and main editor of the book "Silencios: Why should we talk about suicide in old age?", released in 2024 by Editorial La Pollera. He also has professional clinical, teaching and research experience.
