Bob Patiño, Bart Simpson's hairy archenemy, is the son of a Shakespearean actress. Hamlet is one of the inspirations for The Lion King. And 31 Minutes premiered its own version of Romeo and Juliet this year. It is clear that children are no strangers to the enormous cultural influence of Shakespeare. That is why this workshop is aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old, so that together with their families they can get closer to his life and work, both in texts and in stage and film versions.
The activity begins with an interactive conversation about William Shakespeare and theater. Then, the children are shown a classic theater model to explain how it worked and then it is the families who play at making theater, with brief scenes from the writer's texts characterized by the most emblematic characters.
