"Plant evil" by Santiago Macchi | Oct 7—6 p.m.
Mal de Planta proposes a speculative fiction in which a group of workers at a nanotechnology plant must learn, through a pilot program, to manufacture a new product: chimpis. However, the program is interrupted halfway through the disappearance of the instructor and the sudden tragedies that begin to occur around the plant, located in the middle of the Atacama Desert.

Actor, playwright and theater workshop facilitator.
As a playwright he has written the works El otro lado (2022) and Ética de las mandarinas (2023), the latter being selected to compete in the Volcán UC 2023 festival within the dramatic text category. As an actor he has participated in works; Clear day spirits with the C.T.M collective (2025). The House of Orates: Documentary research on the relationship between theater and schizophrenia, presented at the Volcán Smog 2023 festival and in the play Corazón Gigante (2024), an adaptation for children's theater of the story The Egoist Giant, where he also dedicated himself to making the puppets for the play. He was also part of the casts of the works: Etica de las mandarinas and The other side.
He has participated as a facilitator of theater workshops at SENAME on three occasions with Professor Andrea Ubal and as a researcher of comparative dramaturgies for the eighty-year book for the UC Theater with Gabriela Aguilera.
“Nati Nago” by Fernanda Pérez | Oct 8—6 p.m.
Free and contemporary version of Antígona located in the Guaitecas archipelago, where two sisters after a sovereignty pact face state violence and marginality. The dramaturgy articulates a poetic and sensory language that combines myth, memory and territory, creating a mystical atmosphere where the human and the non-human coexist in tension.
The fragmented and non-linear structure reinforces the mythical dimension of the work, generating a story that is built from memory and the cycles of nature. The use of corporeal metaphors—talking trees, plasticine men, wooden pumas—exposes the violence of colonial gestures and the fragility of imposed sovereignties.

Actress, playwright and theater director.
Graduated from the University of Chile in Theater Acting and with a Diploma in Dramaturgy from the same university, she complemented her training with international mobility in 2024 at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.
She has been recognized in the 25th version of the Víctor Jara Staging and Dramaturgy Festival (2024) with her playwriting and co-direction of the play The Queen of Spring and in the 11th version of the Juan Radrigán Festival (2025) with her work Endemio y la Ballena Gigante de Madera. He is currently working with the company Todxs Se Olvidan and in the Chilean National Theater's production of Romeo y julieta.
"Risk" by Xaviera Vera Gutiérrez | Oct 9—6 p.m.
Risk is set in a risk prevention office, where Sofía and Andrea prepare a preventive talk for a group of security guards. What appears to be a routine encounter becomes an inquiry into extremism, violence, and the possibilities of love. Starting from the absent figure of María, a guard accused of putting a bomb in an ATM, the protagonists develop delirious hypotheses that mix rumors, memories and suspicions.
The work explores how security discourses turn everyday life into a space of permanent suspicion, where any gesture can be read as a threat. At the same time, it problematizes the way images—from memes to bombs—operate as devices of communication, desire, and power. In the key of black comedy and delirium, Riesgo displays a portrait of emotional and political precariousness in a context where love and violence seem to be inevitably intertwined.

Originally from La Unión and raised in the commune of Maipú, Xaviera works with a complex fictional imaginary, constructing improbable stories to represent national and universal topics. She is currently a scholarship recipient of the Master of Arts with a mention in Theater Studies and Practices at the Catholic University, and develops her investigative and stage work together with her collective Proyecto No-official.
"This is how the bones speak" by Raúl Riquelme | Oct 10—6 p.m.
An enigmatic detective searches for a mysterious cloud that contains voices of missing detainees, while interrogating people suspected of having information. A smiling woman digs in the desert hoping to find a piece of her brother. A skull, split into three, tries to give signs of its whereabouts to the surface to be found. He makes jokes, counts grains of sand and plays guessing where he is. The disembodied dead have a voice that resonates in the hidden spaces of nature while they wait to turn into dust. They can't move, but they dream.

Playwright, screenwriter and performance artist
He has developed his work in film, theater and urban performance. He is the author of the works Dinosaurs in my window, Orquestación, Cerdo, and has collaborated as a scriptwriter in the series Don't follow me (La Vieja Rara). His textDinosaurs in my window was the winner of the exhibition Delirios en Captiverio of the Chilean National Theater (2020) and brought to stage by Daniel Marabolí in 2025. He has been part of international artistic residencies in institutions such as the Royal Court Theatre, Cité Internationale des Arts and The Watermill Center. He was also curator of the Chilean stand at the 2023 Prague Quadrennial together with the Complejo Conejo collective. His work is characterized by the crossover between scenic languages, science fiction and comedy.
He is currently a professor of the course “Writing texts for the stage” in the Acting program at the Universidad Mayor.
"Transit zone" by Javiera Mendoza | Oct 11—6 p.m.
An absurd comedy that stresses the figure of the community in times of mistrust and delegation. It all begins when a child gets trapped in an elevator and dies, an event that definitively fractures the ties between neighbors. Since then, the life of the building has been controlled by an external company that manages every eventuality, replacing coexistence with regulations and protocols.
The building becomes a reflection of a country where exhausted citizens have lost the habit of recognizing each other. In this scenario, a janitor and an administrator try to do their jobs with dignity, but they find themselves trapped in a system that makes any effort irrelevant, because the community no longer wants to be a community.

Graduate in acting and staging from the Universidad Mayor. Founder of the Teatro Hierba Mala company (2016) and Colectivo Público (2025), she has developed a career that combines authorial creation, stage direction and teaching.
As a playwright, she has written Todo Bajo Control (winner of the Juan Radrigán Interescuelas Festival), Santa Marta, The flies also speak, La Fuerza del Corazón (selected at the Eddie Latinoamérica Festival, Buenos Aires) and Assembly (free version of Aristófanes, selected at La Rebelión de las Voces 2021, Santiago Off). He has directed productions such as Before I Die I Want to Know the Sky by Rae del Cerro, Y, y, y, y, y by Nicolás Lange, La Reina del Perreo by Belén Herrera and La Fuerza del Corazón, presented in various stages and festivals. His latest works of the year include Flora y Flora by Isidora Stevenson, Póstuma by Ignacio Tamagno, Cautivo by Bacha Omegna, and Cocinando con Elvis by Alexis Moreno.

He has created pieces such as Kelly (about the demands of housekeepers), Llop and Dissidents (focused on political repression and patriarchal violence), La Malcontenta, Chocolate (in artistic residency at Es Tub, about marginality), Finlandia (refugee crisis) and El darrer waltz(poverty and evictions). His most recent work, Fake, examines the rise of fascism and the role of the media, uncritical society and contemporary politics.
