After a terrible ecological catastrophe on the island where they live, Birdboy and Dinki lost their parents. There was a time when they faced their pain together, but Birdboy now lives isolated in the forest, wasting away, and oblivious to the fact that Dinki has decided to undertake a risky journey in search of a better place. Birdboy will have to fight his inner demons if he wants to join Dinki in time to help on his adventure and save himself.
