Outer Space: Urban Art Conference

The presence of art in public spaces has taken on greater relevance in the city of Santiago in recent years. Different initiatives use art as a catalyst for social interaction, as a tool to beautify the city and the recovery of disused neighborhoods, streets and squares. Art in public spaces affects the quality of life of the inhabitants, inspiring reflection and strengthening the identity of the territory.

However, a large part of these initiatives face adverse contexts in their management, due to the lack of policies that support the development of these projects. Artists and managers work in isolation facing transversal difficulties in a solitary way.

This instance seeks to open dialogue with those who feel interested in art in public spaces and provide the opportunity to create networks that allow them to raise awareness of the artistic and urban development that is booming and needs greater visibility.
