Additionally, this call for Performing Arts and Visual Arts opens two special cycles for the year 2017 focused on:

1. Centenary of the birth of Violeta Parra:
In October 2017, the one hundred years of the birth of Violeta Parra are commemorated and the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center will join in actions and artistic projects that address issues related to the life and work of this national figure. For the occasion, we expect to receive proposals that, whether from the performing arts, visual arts and/or an interdisciplinary perspective, provide content to add to a special cycle dedicated to it.
2. Memory, heritage and national utopias: Part of GAM's view of its audiences and various agents involves the rescue of the heritage of the performing arts and its authorship. Emphasis is placed on projects dedicated to encouraging national dramaturgy and focused on its promotion with a view to promoting memory.
