Taught by Marc Rosich (Barcelona, 1973), playwright, stage director and translator. Graduated in Journalism (UAB) and in Translation/Interpreting (UAB), he trained in dramatic writing at the Sala Beckett. He is currently responsible for the publications unit of the Insitut del Teatre de Barcelona.
Rosich shares the mechanisms he uses in writing his pieces, which usually have as their main trigger the search for the character's voice: how to know how to detect which voices, of all those that the playwright hears in disorder, deserve to be invoked for the scene and thus tie them so that they fly free in their own piece. The playwright is the mediator, we could even say the medium, who pulls the thread of the voices that live in his head and lets them materialize through the action of his fingers on the keyboard.

Rafael Gallego is a playwright and journalist. His work is characterized by addressing issues that mark our time, always from the perspective of vulnerable groups and in dialogue with the social, political and economic tensions that cross them.
The activity will consist of a tour of some of the author's works, released in the last 4 years and created from the testimonies and experiences (personal, professional, vital...) of people – in most cases women – who belong to groups or communities that are invisible and/or stigmatized.
The works that we will address will be Kelly (about the labor struggles of hotel maids and the imbalances generated by mass tourism); Biography of a Mutant Neighborhood (about the different waves of migration that give life and shape to neighborhoods and the gentrification that threatens them) and Nostalgia - the work that will be shown at LRDLV in a dramatized reading format - which enters the field of mental health through women who suffer from auditory hallucinations.
The objective of the work session would be to share the processes generated by these projects - based on research, documentation, workshops and interviews in which these communities have been protagonists - and to be able to contrast them with creative journeys carried out by the attendees.
Particularly, I am interested in hearing how people work in community and from the perspective of the performing arts in Chile.
