Free lecture by manga and anime expert, Marc Bernabé.

Spaniard Marc Bernabé, writer and translator of manga and anime works in Spanish, as well as a specialist in Japanese culture, arrives in Chile for the second time (2012).

At GAM he will give a lecture on Osamu Tezuka, the great father of manga (creator of Astro-boy, Jet Marte, Leon Kimba, The Princess Knight, among others).

In his native Spain he studied at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​and then at the University of Foreign Studies in Osaka, Japan. "When I arrived in Kyoto and saw so many cheap comics, I thought I could practice and learn Japanese by reading them. I achieved that, but also the method to study the language through manga: Japanese in vignettes," says this translator of more than 700 volumes of manga, cultural advisor for the Barcelona Manga Fair and creator of daruma.es.

This activity, which has the support of the Japan Foundation, is part of the commemoration of the 120 years of friendship between Japan and Chile that will be celebrated during 2017.
