Tribute to the 80th anniversary of Gabriela Mistral's Nobel Prize in Literature

Within the framework of the commemorations for the 80 years of the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to Gabriela Mistral, GAM invites you to participate in a marathon reading of thePoema de Chile, one of the author's most emblematic works.

Published posthumously in 1967, Poema de Chile recounts a poetic journey through the national territory guided by an Atacameño boy, a huemul and Gabriela —or Lucila— in the form of a ghost. The work is considered a fundamental text within Chilean literature for its profound representation of national identity, where the nature, history and cultures of the country are intertwined.

The reading will take place uninterrupted, with participation open to the entire community.
