If in February 2013 the objective was to bring together K-POP fans around a competition that had the purpose of forming a community linked to GAM, the following year the objective was to make this cultural manifestation known to all those who had glimpses of it or did not actually know it.
In 2015, meanwhile, the K-POP MARATHON takes another step and the summer day that previously lasted one day, today will delve into the meaning of current Korean culture and the impact it has generated in our country. This activity will include a live presentation of K-pop choreography, plus a discussion forum with a group of guests who will contribute to the conversation from different dimensions. The forum, K-POP, EXPORT CULTURE will address the influence of Korean Waveor Hallyu in the world and the implications for South Korea, the reflection of this in the Chilean industry (music, fashion, among others) and the origin and development of the K-Pop community in Chile.
Among the guests will be Julie Kim, executive director of the King Sejong Institute, a program promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea and the Korean Language Globalization Foundation, for teaching the language and disseminating culture abroad; and Nara Back, Korean-Chilean, member of the musical group Lulu Jam for 8 years, image designer with a mention in art direction, model and television host.
On the second day, the live presentation and competition of the tribute groups, previously selected in an audition, will take place. Who, as in previous years, although this time in room A1 of the GAM, will display all their skills in dance.

On January 22, 2015 at 11 a.m., the audition for the K-POP Marathon will be held and participants must request a registration form at the information desk - from January 9 to 18, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. - and register their group.
