Participate and you can be selected to be part of the Maori tattoo exhibition that will be done live for a week, starting March 12 at GAM.
What is it about?
Along with the Tuku Iho: Maori Living Legacy expo, expert tattoo artists from New Zealand will come to show the public the art and meaning of these writings on the skin. On the occasion, people will be selected to receive a live Maori tattoo.
If you want to be part of these selected ones, you must do the following:
Send us a word to the email info@gam.cl with your personal data (name, surname, date of birth, commune, email and mobile phone) by answering the following questions:
1. How do you think Maori culture has been integrated into the contemporary world?
2. What is the meaning of tattoos for Maori?
3. On what part of the body and what theme is the tattoo you would like to have?
Important:
- You must send us all the requested information. If any are missing you will be declassified.
- Only those over 18 years of age, men and/or women, can participate.
- The tattoos will be done in 2 sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You must have availability according to dates and times to be confirmed.
- The maximum size of the tattoos will be informed after selection.
- The contest closes on Friday, March 6 at 12 noon. The winners will be published hours later on the GAM Facebook fanpage.
- Those selected will be chosen by an evaluating jury made up of the curator of the exhibition Tuku Iho: Maori living legacy and the GAM communications team.
